It’s like stepping into a place where the focus is all on the food and the experience of a good, hearty meal.

The menu at Clown Burger is filled with all the classics you’d expect from a solid burger joint, but it’s the unexpected combinations that really stand out. Their signature burger, aptly named the Clown Burger, is a towering stack of juicy beef, crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, and a perfectly fried egg. It’s the kind of burger that makes you question why you ever settled for anything less. For something a little lighter, their grilled chicken sandwiches are a hit, especially when paired with a side of crispy fries or onion rings.

The variety doesn’t stop with the burgers. You’ll also find a selection of hot dogs, milkshakes, and even a few specialty items like their spicy jalapeno cheese fries. If you’re someone who loves a bit of heat, these fries are a must-try. They’re loaded with cheese, spicy jalapenos, and just the right amount of kick to make them the perfect accompaniment to your burger. And if you’re in the mood for something sweet, the milkshakes here are thick, creamy, and full of flavor-whether you go for classic chocolate or something more adventurous like strawberry cheesecake.

One of the standout features of Clown Burger is the balance they strike between quality and affordability. The portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh, and the prices remain reasonable. It’s a place where you can grab a quick bite without breaking the bank, but you’re still getting a meal that feels satisfying and well worth it.

The service is consistently friendly and attentive, with staff members who genuinely seem to enjoy what they do. They’re quick to check in on you without hovering, and there’s a relaxed, easygoing energy about the place that makes it a great spot to unwind with friends or grab a casual meal with family.

What People's Say About Place

Clown Burger has been around for a while…this is my second time eating here. If you find yourself hungry and in Haltom City, I’d say go for it. It’s definitely a no frills hole in the wall kind of burger restaurant. The building is old so it does have a musty “vintage” smell/feel to it. They do have some cool diner/jukebox (non working) decor that is fun to look at. If you like creepy clowns, you will appreciate the Chucky & friends sprinkled throughout. The lady at the counter was attentive and super nice. Unfortunately, they didn’t have any cups of water & I didn’t want to spend $1 on Sam’s Choice bottle water, so I had my meal without a drink. They don’t do fountain drinks & no ice at the time so that’s something to keep in mind. The prices were not great and the food was similar to eating at Whataburger in my opinion. I had onion rings and they were good, just nothing spectacular. I try to support local business’ but I probably won’t return anytime soon.

Forgot about this hidden gem. Someone told me it had switched owners and wasn’t the same anymore. They were wrong, still the same great place with same great food. It’s not fast food but they got it out quick and delicious. Service was friendly and the cook even came out to see if everyone liked their food. Skip McDonald’s and stop here for lunch.

Stopped by while visiting from Washington. Absolutely adorable little burger joint. Food was quick, hot, and made with care. The fries were homestyle- reminds me of how my dad made them when I was a kid. No frills, but absolutely worth the stop and time. They just reopened and are working on getting things running smoothly again, so a little patience goes a long way. But def stop and support a local icon

Super awesome aesthetic, very vintage and cool to look at. The bathroom was kinda stinky but nothing too bad lol! The burgers we got were so delicious, very much made with love. The fries were great and in generous portions too! I believe I got my moneys worth for sure, and the man working the counter and cooking was so nice :)

It’s been years since I’ve been to Clown Burger, and it’s just as great as I remember! The friendly staff, now accepting both cash and cards, makes for a smooth experience. The burgers are juicy and flavorful, exactly what you want in a classic burger. But the fries—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and seasoned with a unique flavor I can’t get enough of—are truly the star of the show. Paired with a cold drink, they’re the perfect side. The nostalgic clown decor adds a fun touch, making it a place full of great food and memories. Definitely worth the visit!

Great smash burger! OMG they know how to toast buns! They have the bun, patty and melted cheese down to an art! Great, helpful staff. Good onion rings. Love the kitschy decor. Really loved the prices. Definitely a bargain for some great burgers.

I loved the vintage old timey style!! The signature wall was cool! The food was great and the servers were nice. Everything homemade. Definitely will come again!

This place is retrofabulous! The burgers: perfectly cooked. The frito pie: massive. This is a local business that will continue to get my support.
